Western Washington has another college basketball destination this month. Washington State and Hawaii are scheduled to meet at Angel Of The Winds Arena in Everett on Wednesday, November 18, at 7 p.m. Pacific.

Washington State’s announcement calls it the first Division I men’s basketball game at the arena. That makes this more than a change of address for a routine home date. It gives people north of Seattle a chance to see the Cougars without arranging a trip to Pullman, and it gives Everett a first opportunity to host this level of men’s college basketball in the building.

A different kind of neutral court

A neutral-site designation tells us the game is away from the teams’ regular home courts. It does not promise an evenly divided crowd. For Washington State alumni and supporters in Western Washington, this is a particularly accessible chance to organize a group and put some crimson in the stands.

WSU’s current schedule places the Everett game between a November 14 home date with Northwest and a November 21 matchup with Duke at Acrisure Arena in California. The local stop is part of a varied early-season itinerary, rather than the beginning of a permanent Everett home schedule.

The opponent also has a regional connection this month. Hawaii opened its season against Seattle U, and Washington State will bring a different test. Fans do not need to choose a side to find value in the night: seeing two teams share an unfamiliar floor offers a useful early-season look at how they adjust away from their normal surroundings.

Buy for the right building

The arena’s official event page confirms the date and 7 p.m. start. It also advertises a 20 percent group discount for parties of eight or more on selected price levels. That is a limited offer, not a promise that every seat or checkout total receives the reduction. Check the exact seats and fees before your group commits.

The destination is 2000 Hewitt Avenue in Everett. Keep that address attached to the ticket when sharing plans. A person who hears only “Cougars basketball in Western Washington” should not have to guess which arena everyone means.

For a group arriving separately, decide who holds each ticket before game day. The venue’s arrival guidance recommends downloading mobile tickets and adding them to a phone wallet before reaching the gate. A ticket that opens at home is one less thing to troubleshoot while friends wait outside.

Plan the last part of the trip

The arena’s parking guide lists nearby options including the Snohomish County garage at 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, the surface lot at 2005 Hewitt Avenue and Everpark at 2825 Hoyt Avenue. Those are options to investigate, not guarantees of an available space or a particular rate. Check operating hours and leave room for the walk to the entrance.

Pack for the venue’s rules. Permitted bags include clear plastic or vinyl bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Concessions are cashless. People needing accessible seating can use the event’s accessible-seat option or contact the box office through the accessibility page.

The appeal is straightforward: a real game, a confirmed opponent and an unusual local setting. For a region often asked to debate its basketball future, November 18 offers something simpler to put on the calendar. Two college teams are coming to Everett, and the next decision belongs to the fans choosing where to sit.
